  3. I almost forgot what the real question was! I had traveled from the reservation where I worked to meet my parents to spend the weekend with them, and lend my moral support as my dad's team competed in the National Mine Rescue Competition. My dad was the trainer and safety manager for the mine; my mother was the human resources goddess. My now husband was one of the co-captains of my dad's team. Apparently, he'd wanted to meet me for years, though I'd never noticed him. He'd seen me when I'd come from MS to visit my parents for holidays or vacations. My dad had always refused to introduce us. I had just moved on this particular summer; I hadn't lived in NV for more than two months when we finally met. He was not behaving well. I was NOT impressed. It's hilarious now, to look back on that moment. :)

  5. How did you and your special (or past special) someone meet? My hubby and I met through an online site and then met in person at a motel room. We sat and talked for 5 hours straight while eating pizza and having a drink. When we first touched by shaking hands it was like the world around us stood still and it was just the 2 of us. We knew right then that we were soul mates. We dated for about a year, got to know each other and each others children and then decided to get married. We met on Nov. 4, 2005 and married Nov. 4, 2006.

  6. I met my special someone thirteen years ago when he came to visit his father(my neighbor) for Thanksgiving. I was 16 and he was 17 at the time, we had a long distance relationship for 15 months, moved in together, and then got married a few years later. <3

  7. Oh my, is that a story!! It actually ended up in our local newspaper donw here. Gist of the story: I worked in a nursing home where I had taken care of his Grandmother for 2 plus years, when we met. I had known his parents for the 2 plus years, His sister for close to 2 years, & his daughter for 9 months, before I met him. In fact I wasn't even working the day we met. I had taken a Teddy Bear home to clean it for one of my patients who was his Grandmothers roommate, & decided (was compelled really) at the last minute to go ahead & take it in to her, Even though I could have just taken it to work w/me when I was scheduled to work.....I met him when I stopped in to comfort His Grandmother......The rest as they say is history....a VERY HEA history... :) :) :)
